Walkin’ days gone by…

Walking days are a very traditional northern celebration. Wigan in particular has some fabulous walking days in years gone by. Crowds would gather to watch the procession. Children would be dressed up and excited to collect money from spectators.

I think I have finished my walking day collection now, and I am working towards a book to showcase it.

The Allotment …..

After 3 years in the making I have finally finished the ‘Allotment painting.’ This gem of a cafe is situated just in front of the plantation gates, Wigan. A delightful and welcoming place.
